Crowns Documentary - 1997 (VIDEO)

Crowns Documentary - 1997 (VIDEO)

In 1997, the Crowns worked with their friend Josh Backer, at that time a RISD student in Providence, to put together a mini-Crowns documentary for a project that Josh was working on.

Josh ended up getting in Jason's old blue van (name: TEXAS) to accompany the band on a gig to the Continental in NYC and the subsequent dawn arrival the next day to their Pawtucket warehouse practice space, as well as documenting the Crowns backstage at Lupos in Providence discussing their time slot opening for Reverend Horton Heat.

The video includes footage of the Crowns live, interviews with Jason, Jack, first album art designer Ryan Lesser, WRIU DJs, and much more.

It ends with some great highway footage from the Crowns van as they come home at dawn from a long after show drive and showing a glimpse of the Crowns practicing in their longtime Pawtucket practice space.
