Anyone remember when WBRU used to put on shows? Well, this was one of them, and in beautiful India Point park with a wonderful view of the nuclear power plant no less!
This show was a huge hometown celebration. The pit looked like something out of Mad Max. The Crowns had just come back from Australia, Warped Tour gigs, and had welcomed new guitarist Greg "JD" Burgess into their ranks. With Greg, the band became complete, and they were firing on all cylinders.
On this 8/20/98 bill with the Crowns played with one hit wonders Harvey Danger. The black and white image of Jason singing to the crowd is used for the Payback Live release.
